Luis Carlos Vaillard holds a Geologist Engineering degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, a post graduate diploma in Geophysics (Seismic Interpretation) from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (Mendoza) and a Business Organization and Administration diploma from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). Luis Carlos has more than 34 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working in countries including Malaysia, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina and all over Latin America. He has done business and closed contracts throughout Latin America, the United States, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Europe. Luis Carlos worked for Tecpetrol, Texaco, Petrolera Perez Companc and YPF, where he managed diverse projects and gained expertise in exploration operations and technical knowledge across the geosciences. Later, he spent over 15 years working for Schlumberger, where he gained experience in business unit P&L (profit & loss) accountability, project management, business development and human capital/talent development. Luis Carlos currently works as a consultant and serves as Treasurer of the Asociación Argentina de Geólogos y Geofísicos Petroleros (AAGGP). He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).

Carlos Enrique Cruz, petroleum geologist, has more than 35 years experience in the Upstream sector. His work mainly focuses on the definition of exploration and redevelopment prospects with in-depth knowledge of Vaca Muerta´s unconventional shale gas and shale oil plays, portfolio and business strategy analysis and foresight of new opportunities for companies or individual investors. He is also involved in building professional capacity.

Giovanni Da Prat holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University. Giovanni has 30+ years’ of professional experience in well testing and reservoir engineering. Since 1999 is an Independent consultant and advisor in well testing, reservoir engineering and training; is an SPE Global training Instructor since 2010 where he received the Distinguished Lecturer prize in 2003-2004; is a Schlumberger NExT Instructor since 2013. Previously Giovanni held several positions in the industry: 9 years in Schlumberger as Reservoir Engineer, 3 years in Halliburton as regional reservoir engineer, 6 year in PDVSA Intevep as production Unit Head.

Alberto Khatchikian graduated in Electrical Engineering from Buenos Aires University. Alberto has 40+ years of international experience. Joined Schlumberger as a field engineer. From 1969 to 1972 he worked as a Research Engineer in the Interpretation Department of Schlumberger-Doll Research in Ridgefield, USA, held positions in Log Interpretation, Sales and Marketing in Argentina, Venezuela, Indonesia, Japan and France. From 1992 to 1994 was in charge of Formation Evaluation for Astra CAPSA in Buenos Aires. Currently is an active member of the Argentina Chapters of the SPE and the SPWLA. In 2010 he received the SPE South America & Caribbean Region award for Distinguished Contribution to Petroleum Engineering in the area of Formation Evaluation.

Eduardo Viro holds an Electronic Engineering Degree from Buenos Aires University. Eduardo is a specialist in core-to-log integration, with 40+ years’ industry experience, is an SPWLA member; retired in 2005 from Schlumberger with Principal Petrophysicist grade. Eduardo has comprehensive experience in clastics and carbonates gained in Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, México, Saudi Arabia, United States and Venezuela; Eduardo´s expertise is focused in interpreting heterogeneous, low porosity carbonates, with a variable 'm' and ‘n’ exponents conducting to more reliable Water Saturation results; predicting permeability from log data in clastics and carbonates, using industry standard algorithms and statistical techniques. Also participated in NExT static characterization training/coaching projects for Ecopetrol, PDVSA, PEMEX, Saudi Arabia and Sonangol.
